Night Loader

Position Overview:
Precision Glass Industries is seeking a dependable, safety-focused Night Loader to join our Shipping team. The Night Loader prepares, organizes, verifies, and safely loads finished architectural glass onto delivery trucks, ensuring customer orders are complete, accurate, properly organized, and ready for delivery according to the daily shipping schedule.
What You’ll Do:
- Load customer orders onto assigned delivery trucks according to the daily shipping schedule.
- Organize and stage finished glass products by customer, order, route, and scheduled delivery date.
- Verify the correct glass products and quantities are prepared and loaded for each order.
- Work as part of a team to safely handle, move, organize, and load architectural glass.
- Follow established loading procedures to prevent glass damage, breakage, and product loss.
- Meet daily Shipping goals by completing scheduled loads accurately and on time.
- Immediately report glass breakage, damaged products, missing items, or discrepancies.
- Assist with final inspection of finished products before loading.
- Sort and organize glass products when required.
- Support other Shipping activities and product areas as needed.
- Safely operate material-handling equipment when trained and authorized.
- Maintain clean and organized Shipping and loading areas throughout the shift.
What We’re Looking For:
- Ability to work the required overnight 12-hour shift schedule.
- Previous experience in shipping, loading, warehouse, manufacturing, or glass handling is preferred.
- Basic math and measurement skills, including the ability to accurately read and verify measurements.
- Experience operating a sit-down forklift is preferred; training may be provided.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to safely handle glass and other materials in a manufacturing and shipping environment.
- Ability to follow work orders, shipping schedules, and supervisor instructions.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to meet daily productivity and quality expectations.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to keep customer orders properly separated and identified.
Physical & Schedule Requirements:
- Must be able and willing to work 12-hour shifts.
- Must be physically capable of safely lifting, handling, moving, and assisting with heavy pieces of architectural glass throughout the shift, individually or with team/mechanical assistance as appropriate.
- Must be able to remain active and on your feet for extended periods during the shift.
- Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing, shipping, logistics, or production-floor environment, as applicable to the position.
- Must follow all required safety procedures and properly use required PPE.
- Regular, reliable, and punctual attendance is required.
