Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Fleet Maintenance Coordinator to join our team and contribute to our growth at our manufacturing plants. This role is critical to ensuring the optimal performance, safety, and aesthetic condition of our large and growing fleet of vehicles, which includes pickup trucks, medium-duty Mack Trucks, semi-tractors, flatbeds, and boom trucks. By the end of this year, we will be adding additional vehicles to our fleet.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance Coordination: Schedule and oversee regular maintenance for all fleet vehicles, ensuring timely completion of all necessary repairs and upkeep.
  • Driver Complaints: Address and follow up on maintenance issues reported by drivers, ensuring prompt resolution.
  • Inspections and Registration: Conduct regular inspections of fleet vehicles to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards. Manage vehicle registration and inspection schedules.
  • Cost Management: Negotiate and secure the best rates for maintenance services, parts, and emergency repairs.
  • Emergency Coordination: Arrange for emergency tows or pickups as needed, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
  • Aesthetic Upkeep: Ensure all fleet vehicles are clean and presentable, coordinating regular cleaning schedules.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities, inspections, repairs, and associated costs.
  • Vendor Relations: Build and maintain relationships with service providers, ensuring high-quality and cost-effective services.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant local, state, and federal regulations related to fleet operations and maintenance.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in fleet management or a related field.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and make decisions under pressure.
  • Knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair processes.
  • Proficiency in using fleet management software and tools.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
